Courses

As in India, undergraduate degrees in the UK are usually called Bachelor degrees. Qualifications vary in title from one institution to another so you can look at the course content before deciding on the right course.

Higher National Diploma (HND) courses are also very popular with students. These are more 'vocational' in the nature and take two years to complete. It is usually possible to top-up to a degree by studying for another year or two. This route is usually more cost effective than the degree route and may suit students who want to improve on their academic standard.

The UK offers 'Foundation Degree ' that are two year courses and provide a more flexible option  for career-minded students to gain practical and academic skills. These courses are available for students who do not qualify for direct admission to degree courses.
